I'd like the first name to be longer than 22 characters to include our pronouns. I'd like this to be something a therapist can include and a patient can include.

Thank you for this request. Hopefully, you have noticed that the first name field has 30 character limit. This was changed some time ago. We hope that gives you enough space for pronouns.
The preferred name field has a shorter limit due to the fact that a name longer than 20 characters will look poor in the UI. We are addressing this in the next version of doxy.me, which will allow for a longer preferred name.
As for patients, they are free to enter their pronouns during check-in if they like. That field is has a limit of 40 characters.

Shristi Chand: I actually missed your comment when I replied. I see what you are saying though. Adding fields that appear in the UI can be trickier than it seems. For now, we will keep it simple and flexible and allow the provider and patient to enter that information if they would like. We will consider a separate field for this in the future.
We definitely want to be thoughtful of all, and have previously made improvements to the title field so that providers can choose the title of Mx. if they like.
